YouTuber Electo creates real-world running Minecraft pig that maxes out at 20 MPH

In context: The YouTube creator community has created all kinds of wild machines over the years. The Hacksmith channel made a functional lightsaber, and “Queen of Shit Robots” (her words) Simone Giertz modified a Tesla Model S into a pickup truck long before Musk & company unveiled the real Cybertruck. And now, we have YouTuber Elect and his Lamborghini, sorry, Hamborghini.

Yup, you read that right. Electo created the “World’s Fastest Minecraft Pig” (we suspect he’s also the only mountable Minecraft pig) and chose to call his fantastic contraption the “Hamborghini”. I guess you should get points for your creativity at least. And before you ask, yes, it works, pretty well too, if Electo’s compilation video is something to go through.

However, it is probably not the safest method of transportation in the world. Balancing the thing appears to be a high-speed struggle (the Hamborghini tops out at 20 MPH), and its batteries were teamed up with, to use Electo’s own words, an “incomplete soldering iron” he found on the internet. However, who can blame him? Pre-made batteries can be quite expensive – over $ 400, according to their video.

Anyway, after putting together a makeshift drum kit, the next step was to make the Hamborghini rock and roll. To accomplish the former, he broke a pair of skateboard wheels from a deck he had at home and attached them to the bottom of two wooden Minecraft pig-shaped legs. He selected heavily modified shopping cart wheels for the front to make sure the pig can actually turn (sort of) and then hooked up a motor to help the wheels turn.

After that, Electo put it all together, painting the Hamborghini to look like its Minecraft counterpart. The results are quite impressive!

But how is it that one really lead the thing? Simple: create a carrot on a real-world stick, place an infrared sensor on the pig’s “head,” and calibrate it to detect the color orange. That seems to have worked for Electo most of the time, but as fail-safe it also added a manual controller to the side of the stick in case the pig detects something else that is orange and tries to speed up after it.

To finish his video, Electo raced with the Hamborghini (with him bravely mounted on top) against his friend. Unfortunately, said friend had no chance. Turns out, even for a relatively fit human, a 20Mph monstrosity is hard to beat. Even so, both Electo and his friend seemed to have fun with the whole process, so they had more power to them.

Maybe he will create a working Titanfall robot next? Only time will tell.
