AIMIM boss Asaduddin Owaisi is currently using the new Land Rover Defender to get to meetings. However, after videos of the politician leaving the new Defender went viral, the police issued him a challan. The Solapur Police Commissioner has awarded the policeman 5,000 rupees for acting against a politician, which is rare in India.

The incident occurred after the Owai car convoy arrived at Solapur in Maharashtra on Tuesday. Police noted that there is no license plate on the new Land Rover Defender and issued a challan to Owaisi. While exact details are not known, police reportedly issued a 200 rupee challan to Owaisi.

The video shows the white Land Rover Defender leading the car group. Owaisi, who is sitting in the passenger seat, removes the mask and wears it before getting out of the vehicle. However, there is no registration number on the car, which is a crime in India and that is why the police issued the challan.

We are not sure if there is a license plate on the rear of the vehicle. However, even the lack of a registration plate is a solid basis for issuing a challan in India.

Challans of politicians is not uncommon

While the police and authorities steer clear of getting into trouble with politicians, there have been many occasions when the police have issued oaths to politicians and government officials in high office. Sometimes the challan is sent electronically where the offender can pay online, while at other times the physical challan is delivered.

Politicians have received challans and faced police action for various reasons, including speeding, the use of faulty license plates, and even the use of tinted windows. Such moves ensure transparency and ensure that everyone is treated fairly.

In fact, even some politicians appreciate these moves. In Telangana, the popular politician KTR facilitated the policeman who issued a challan because the politician’s car was on the wrong track. While in some other cases, politicians flee the scene when the police issue a challan.

Land Rover Defender is becoming the new journey of politicians

Land Rover Defender returned with a completely new avatar after years. It has become the new ride option for many politicians in India. In addition to Owaisi, several other politicians have started using new-age Land Rover Defender SUVs. the Tamil Nadu Prime Minister MK Stalin has opted for the new Land Rover Defender 110 for your daily activities. Another politician, Vijay Vasanth from Kanyakumari, also uses a Land Rover Defender 110.

Interestingly, there was a time in India when most politicians used the Tata Safari as their official vehicle. The new Defender appears to be taking that position in the Indian market.
