Principal photography of the upcoming DC Extended Universe movie The flash It’s still going on, and fans have caught a glimpse of some of the film’s actors, be it Ezra Miller as Scarlet Speedster, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, or Michael Keaton in his triumphant return as Batman. Now, we have a new look at young Barry Allen, played by Ian Loh.
In a post that has since been removed from his official Instagram, Ian Loh shared a photo celebrating director Andy Muschietti’s birthday. The photo was taken from the set of the film, specifically in the bedroom of the young Barry Allen. You can see the photo below:
Based on the appearance of his bedroom, young Barry Allen was a boy from the early 2000s, according to the posters we see for Cats and Dogs, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed other Looney Tunes: back in action. In particular, the fact that there is a poster for Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed confirms that the existence of Suicide squad Writer / director James Gunn is, in fact, canon in the DC Extended Universe. If we somehow see a teenage Barry Allen’s bedroom, fingers crossed, there would be a poster for 300 on the wall, which implies the existence of Zack Snyder as well.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of prey write Christina Hodson, The flash stars Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdu, and Ron Livingston.
The film will be inspired by the Flash point comic story, which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and drawn in pencil by Andy Kuber, Flash point it radically altered the state of the DC Comics universe and led to the release of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the next Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.
