MANILA, Philippines – PBA legend Robert “Sonny” Jaworski Jr. suffers from a rare blood disease, his son “Dodot” Jaworski Jr. recently revealed.
Dotdot shared in an interview with Anthony Taberna’s Tune in Kay Tunying that his father, Robert, suffers from a blood condition in which he is anemic despite having high levels of iron in his blood.
His family has been searching for a cure for great basketball, known as the “Living Legend”, both in the Philippines and abroad for quite some time.
“It’s a problem where your iron levels are elevated, so you have very high iron levels but at the same time you’re anemic,” Dodot said. “So for the past few years, we have been trying to find doctors here and abroad, but none of them can understand what is really happening to my father.”
Low iron levels often characterize anemia, and fatigue is the first symptom of the disease.
Dodot said his father continues to rest at his home in Corinthian Gardens, where the Geneva legend is sometimes a ball of energy and other times he just chooses to sit quietly.
“There are days when he’s in a great mood and doing well, but there are also times when he doesn’t do anything and is quiet,” said Dodot, who is running for deputy mayor in Pasig City as incumbent mayor Vico’s running mate. Sotto.
“I really hope he regains his strength, but we are continually looking for ways to find out what really causes the blood disorder. We will find a solution to your illness. “
