Alex McCord resurfaces to talk about his new career and explains why laughing is so important.
Alex walked away from Real Housewives of New York City after season four and apparently kept his family out of the spotlight ever since.
Since leaving the Real Housewives, Alex has earned his master’s degree in professional psychology from the University of New England while Simon Van Kempen he graduated with a law degree last year. The couple share two children: Johan, 14, and Francois, 17.
And recently, OG resurfaced when he joined a local Australian news show to promote his new career by working with older people. Apparently the plump mother of two implemented a “laughter yoga” program at a facility for the elderly and seems to love her job.
“We hold weekly laughter yoga classes in the village and focus on intentional laughter for the sake of laughter,” he told Studio 10 for the Daily mail.
“We are intentionally stimulating laughter combined with modified yoga poses and breath work,” he continued. “As a psychologist, I’m in the neuroscience behind this, and the act of laughing stimulates those positive neurotransmitters, like dopamine and serotonin. And it helps you release happy hormones like oxytocin and endorphins. “
There was absolutely no mention of his time in RHONYbut he gave viewers a bit of acting as he demonstrated some poses that he teaches on the laughter yoga show.
During their time on the show, Alex and her husband, Simon, always kept the women, and the fans, talking due to their eccentric lifestyle, for which they were unapologetic. Although they initially attempted to move up the New York City social ladder, which they admitted at the time, they ultimately opted to trade their busy social life for a quieter life in Australia after leaving the show.
However, both Alex and Simon have kept very busy with their careers, plus the couple also celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2020, which they shared with their Instagram followers at the time.
“Celebrating 20s and looking forward to the next 30! Happy 20th anniversary to my best friend [Simon]”He captioned a series of sweet photos.
