The Lincoln Project released a new ad in which they hit Republican candidate for governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin for his anti-mask hypocrisy.
Here’s the announcement:
The ad notes that Youngkin opposes masking mandates for Virginia children in schools while sending his children to an out-of-state private school that requires masks, closing with: “Glenn Youngkin, you care about your own children. But not for ours. Glenn Youngkin, there’s a News Primer he’s Donald Trump’s candidate. “
The Lincoln Project’s Glenn Youngkin mask ad is one of the best
The ad works on several levels. It points to Youngkin’s opposition to popular mask mandates in schools. He shows Youngkin’s hypocrisy and uses Donald Trump’s endorsement against him.
“Glenn Youngkin is offline and unfit to run Virginia,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “He’s fine with the masks that protect his own kids in a fancy out-of-state private school, but he opposes them in Virginia public schools. Safety is a must for their children, but not for yours. “
One of the strange peculiarities of the Virginia polls is that it has consistently underestimated the Democratic vote.
Terry McAuliffe has a slight lead in the state governor’s race. Nothing should be taken for granted because Youngkin is a Trump clone, and Project Lincoln is doing its part to show voters the truth.
