pfizer: EU regulator approves booster for Pfizer vaccine for over 18s

AMSTERDAM: The European Union drug regulator on Monday endorsed booster injections of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for people over 18 years of age.
The European Medicines Agency said booster doses “can be considered at least 6 months after the second dose for people 18 years of age or older.”
The agency also said it supports giving a third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine to people with severely weakened immune systems at least 28 days after the second injection.
The recommendations go to the health authorities of the 27 EU member states. Some countries have already started giving booster vaccines.
