NBCUniversal is beefing up the digital side of its broadcast and television ranges.
The company promoted digital marketing executive Margaret Walker to Senior Vice President of Audience Acquisition and Growth for the Sports and Entertainment divisions.
Reporting to Jennifer Storms, CMO, Entertainment & Sports, Walker will oversee all digital platform programming and priority management and is tasked with driving digital revenue, acquisition and participation in NBC, Bravo, E !, Oxygen, SYFY, Universal Kids and also in the US as an audience engagement in sports.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Digital Product and Distribution Marketing at NBCUniversal, joining the company in 2016 from DirecTV.
“Margaret has played an important role in defining NBCUniversal’s digital footprint on our entertainment platforms and will continue to thrive in this newly expanded capacity,” said Storms. “She is an expert in identifying key opportunities in the digital landscape for NBCU and we are excited that she paves the way for future acquisition and growth of our audience.”
