Garner was trying to text his ex Alias co-star Carl Lumbly after the show’s 20th anniversary
Jennifer Garner tried to catch up with an old friend, but fell in love with a classic case of mistaken identity!
the Elektra Star, 49, became the butt of the joke when she posted a screenshot on Instagram this Friday. In it we see the actress send someone a selfie, mistaking them for her. Alias co-star Carl Lumbly. In it, we can see her message “Carl, this is Jen G. Here comes the proof.”
The alias meeting
The actress was in the process of sending a selfie when the other person quickly replied, “Wrong number.” But too late, the image was sent. She laughed at her mistake and told the person that she was looking for her friend.
He called the experience “Humble”, in his caption, before adding the hashtags: “#IfYouAreWorkingWithCarlLumbly #PleaseTellHimImLookingForHim #BristowAndDixon.
Garner and Lumbly played Sydney Bristow and Marcus Dixon on the critically acclaimed series. The cast reunited earlier this week to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary. Alias aired on ABC from 2001 to 2006.
Garner even made her TikTok debut in honor of the reunion and showed photos of herself and her former co-stars in person. Among them were Michael Vartan, Merrin Dungey, Kevin Weisman, Gina Torres, Mia Maestro, and Victor Garber.
He also thanked the show’s creator, JJ Abrams on Instagram, for pushing the cast “through and beyond the norm.”
Ready to reboot
In March, Garner said The Hollywood Reporter that she is ready to join Alias if they ever restart it. He also added that he will “grab Bradley by the neck,” referring to his former co-star Bradley Cooper, who did not make it to the meeting.
