ISL 2021-22: ATK Mohun Bagan, Bengaluru FC win big, while SC East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC settle for a meek draw in their respective opening games

In a match that saw six different scorers, Bangalore FC won big against NorthEast United, while Mohun Bagan ATM they continue their winning record against Kerala Blasters in their respective opening games.

Mohun Bagan 4-2 Kerala Blasters FC ATM

ATK Mohun Bagan made a dominant display to beat Kerala Blasters 4-2 in the opening game of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL 2021-22). Boumous (3 ′, 39 ′) and Liston Colaco (50 ′), paid instant dividends when scoring on goals. Roy Krishna (27 ′ P), too, did not stop capitalizing from the point of view, once again between goals. Former FC Goa and Mumbai City FC star Boumous became the league’s fastest scorer in an opening match, finding the net from outside the box in three minutes.

The first half was sealed and surrendered when Boumous took advantage of not scoring. He ventured with precision, striking through and through the keeper’s legs to deliver a two-goal band. After the break, Liston Colaco snuggled into a delicious fourth goal with little help from Krishna, much to the delight of coach Antonio López Habas. The game went into even competition thereafter with the ball, but ATK Mohun Bagan continued to taunt the Blasters’ defenders.

Bengaluru FC 4-2 NorthEast United FC

In an entertaining contest that featured six different scorers, Bengaluru FC defeated NorthEast United FC 4-2 in the second match of the ISL 2021-22 (at Athletic Stadium in Bambolim. Cleiton Silva (14 ′), Jayesh Rane (42 ′) and Prince Ibarra (81 ′) provided the fireworks for Bengaluru FC, while Deshorn Brown (17 ′), Mathias Coureur (25 ′) scored for the Highlanders along with Mashoor Shereef (22 ′ OG) who unfortunately he found his own network.
Former Bengaluru player Deshorn Brown nearly opened the night with an acrobatic attempt in the first minute.

SC East Bengal 1-1 Jamshedpur FC

Both sides were tactically canceled in an intense affair as Jamshedpur FC drew 1-1 at SC East Bengal in the third Hero ISL 2021-22 game at Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco. Both goals came from set pieces. Croatian defender Franjo Prce (17 ‘) scored an opening goal for the Reds and Golds, while Peter Hartley (45 + 3’) tied at the edge of halftime.
