India’s team captain Virat Kohli was seen chatting with South African players during the ongoing Cape Town Test after he survived an appeal. Kohli missed the Johannesburg exam after suffering a back spasm before the game, and KL Rahul led the visitors in the second exam.

Team India opted to hit first after winning the toss in the third and final round of the three-game series in Cape Town. Raul KL other Agarwal Mayank, who showed a brilliant hitting performance in the last two games of the current test series, left early before lunch. Rahul (12) fell to Duanne Olivier in the 12th, while Mayank (15) started in the next over brought down by Kagiso Rabada.

Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar bid anchored innings in the first session after India got off to a poor start on Day 1 of the Cape Town Test. Pujara (43) looked confident with the bat, but the middle-order hitter fell to Marco Jansen in the 38th. Ajinkya rahane, who came out to bat after Pujara’s ejection, could only handle nine runs and was fired for little money.

During the over 52 of India’s batting innings, there was a huge appeal against Kohli on the ball from Duanne Oliver, and the Proteas goalkeeper seemed confident about it. The slow motion replays confirmed a gap between the ball and the bat, and Kohli was declared not out. Shortly after the decision, the Indian captain was seen chatting with the opposition players.
