Renowned broadcaster Fiifi Banson lamented the poor play of the Ghana wingers on Monday night during the game against Morocco.
Nicknamed Black Stars, the West African country’s national team took on the Atlas Lions yesterday in the opening match of Group C of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Although Jordan Ayew was the main forward, he was intimidated most of the time and most of the time had to move to the flanks or to the midfield.
Reviewing the game with GTV Sports Plus, Fiifi Banson said he felt sorry for the Black Stars forward when he was watching the game.
He said: “I felt sorry for Jordan Ayew, because Ghana’s tactical setup made him play against four defenders, while our full-backs were nowhere to be found when Ghana was attacking.”
Fiifi Banson, like most Ghanaians, is confident that the Black Stars will win their next game at AFCON 2021.
Later this week, Ghana will face Gabon in the second Group C match of the current tournament.
