All-Pro safety Harrison Smith signed a four-year, $ 64 million extension with the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced Sunday.
The deal includes a guaranteed $ 26.38 million, through NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 32 year old said earlier this summer that he wanted to stay with the Vikings in the future. Your contract almost ensures that will happen.
Smith is now the second-highest-paid safety in the NFL behind Seattle Seahawks star Jamal Adams, who recently agreed to a four-year, $ 70 million contract.
Smith led the Vikings in both interceptions (five) and pass deflections (10) last season to go along with 89 total tackles. Selected 29th overall in 2012, Smith has been a five-time Pro Bowler and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2017.
