Fantasy WR Rankings Week 12: Who To Start, Sit On Wide Receiver In Fantasy Football

We know the wide receiver position is deep, but that doesn’t make the decisions to start and lay in this position any easier, especially when injuries, byes and other problems reap their ugly heads. We do our best to resolve the confusion in the fantasy WR rankings from week 12, but we know that we will have to make frequent updates throughout the week.

DeAndre Hopkins (remember him?), Tyreek Hill and the rest of the Chiefs and Cardinals wide receivers are ready. We will certainly miss some of those guys, but overall, it’s not a terrible week. Cooper Kupp (@ Packers) and the Broncos (vs. Chargers) WR trio will be back, and we’ll finally see Odell Beckham Jr. after a normal week of preparation with the Rams.

WEEK 12 PPR RANKINGS:
Attack player | Running back | The wide receiver | Hard ending | D / ST | Kicker

Strong standard league starts include Rashod Bateman (vs. Browns), Elijah Moore and Corey Davis (@ Texans), Brandon Aiyuk (vs. Vikings), Cole Beasley (@ Saints), TY Hilton (vs. Buccaneers), Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne (vs. Titans) and Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney (@ Lions). They all seem to be at least low-end WR3s that face statistically poor defenses against WR. Detroit may not be the worst team against the position, but that’s mostly due to their opponent’s heavy playing scripts. If Chicago beats Detroit on Thanksgiving, Mooney and Robinson might have quiet afternoons, but they still have their fair share of advantages.

WEEK 12 STANDARD RATINGS:
Attack player | Running back | Hard ending | D / ST | Kicker

Deeper in the rankings, you’ll find Jamison Crowder (@ Texans), Robby Anderson (@ Dolphins), Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones (vs. Falcons) and Russell Gage (@ Jaguars). Obviously, neither is a “safe” option, but at this point in the rankings, no one is. We have to rely on favorable matchups when looking at deep sleepers and weeklong streamers. If you are really brave, you can try Nico Collins (vs. Jets). He’s getting more involved in the Texans offense, which is looking somewhat better as Tyrod Taylor continues to improve. The same can be said for fellow rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown (against Bears) who faces the fourth worst defense against fantasy WR heading into Week 11.

FANTASY OF WEEK 12: Sleepers | Busts | Get started, feel them

On the other hand, Kadarius Toney (against Eagles), Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick (against Chargers), Jarvis Landry (@ Ravens), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (against Rams) and Tre’Quan Smith (against Bills)) have matchups enough hard enough to cause concern. Sutton and Toney have produced explosive performances this season, but the Eagles and Chargers were top-four teams against fantasy WR heading into Week 11. Plus, Sutton has just five catches in the last three weeks, so it seems like Jerry Jeudy’s return to the lineup has hurt him badly. We still like Jeudy this week, but he’s also in the early position bubble.

WEEK 12 DFS LINEUP: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo!

Some of the guys we weren’t expecting to be productive this year have come through and of course we’ve had a lot of fantasy failures. You can only travel with someone for so long before accepting that it’s time to bank / cut it, and 11 weeks of data is enough time to make those calls. We know it won’t be fun to bench Courtland Sutton or Kadarius Toney for guys like Elijah Moore or Darnell Mooney, but it’s probably the right call.
