MANILA, Philippines – Dwight Ramos is finally ready to join Toyama after his mandatory quarantine period in Japan to begin his first B. League season.
Gilas Pilipinas’ point guard will debut this weekend against Nagoya and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in two consecutive games.
“I finally came out of quarantine, I am very excited to join the team and practice with them, meet everyone for the first time and be a part of Toyama again,” Ramos said in Grouses’ Twitter post Thursday.

Ramos, one of eight Filipino players in the B. League system, had to undergo the mandatory two-week quarantine period for all foreign players entering Japan and his first test is to help the Grouses improve their start. season 0-4. .
The Grouses, who played Alvark Tokyo and the Shinsu Brave Warriors, will play the Diamond Dolphins this weekend.
Ramos and Parks will also face off for the first time.
“I’m very excited for this weekend’s game and I hope everyone can come and support us this weekend,” Ramos said.
