He won’t linger in purgatory – Kanye West’s Donda album is real and you can listen to it now. After many delays, with a unsuccessful pre-candidate bid somewhere in between, the rapper’s album is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music other Tidal.

At least, almost everything is available now. The album has 27 tracks, one of which, titled Jail pt 2, appears on Spotify but cannot be streamed. Donda, named after West’s late mother, has no art – the album cover on Spotify and Apple Music is a black square.

West announced in July 2020 that his new album It would be called Donda: With Child and hinted that it would be released “this Friday.” That would be the first of many delays (it was around the time that West announced his bid for the presidency, so obviously things were pretty crazy). Months later, in September, he said in a tweet that refused to release another album “Until my contract with Sony and Universal ends.”

After months of silence about the rapper’s project, was announced last month which would finally arrive on July 23, days after a listening party West threw in Atlanta. That date came and went without Donda, one of several missed release dates over the past month, leading many fans to become frustrated by West’s antics. The most recent listening party, which featured a surprise guest in Marilyn Manson, was held on August 26 and Donda was promised to follow her.

And this time it really has.
