If your AirPods Pro earbuds creak or Active Noise Cancellation isn’t working, you have another year to repair them for free.
As detected by a user on Reddit, Apple has extended its service program for AirPods Pro from two to three years. The program, which launched in 2020, covers a few different types of issues that some homeowners were experiencing:
Crackling or static sounds that increase in noisy surroundings, with exercise, or when talking on the phone
Active noise cancellation does not work as expected, such as a loss of bass sound or an increase in background sounds, such as noise from the street or airplane
Apple says the program is limited to AirPods Pro and only covers units manufactured before October 2020. The program now covers your headphones for three years after the date of purchase.
