Paris Saint-Germain travels south to face Montpellier in their penultimate game of the season in Ligue 1.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men sealed the title a while ago, but risk giving their fans a very frustrating conclusion to a generally disappointing campaign.

The Parisians had shown some consistency in April, winning four in a row, though they have found it difficult to continue that streak in recent weeks, coming into the weekend after three straight draws and more recently blowing a 2-0 lead to draw. 2-2 with Troyes at the Parc des Princes.

To achieve their first victory in almost a month, PSG must beat a Montpellier with nothing at stake in the latter stages of the season. A far cry from relegation scrap and miles from any top-half battle, Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men have not won in seven League 1 starts, losing five in that time.

Here it is 90 minutes advance of this.

When is the start? Saturday May 14, 20:00 (GMT)
Where is it playing? Mosson Stadium, Montpellier
What TV channel is it on? BT Sport Extra (UK), beIN Sports (US)
Reflexes? BT Sports YouTube Channel
Who is the referee? jeremy stinat
Who is the VAR? Hakim Ben El Hajj

Left-back Ambrose Oyongo is in contention for a return to the squad after missing La Paillade’s loss to Clermont last time out, although Dall’oglio will remain without Teji Savanier, Jonas Omlin, Remy Cabella and Elye Wahi due to injury.

Mamadou Sakho is also doubtful to face his former club due to a sore back, but the hosts could welcome Jordan Ferri after the midfielder returned to training this week.

Pochettino’s team has received a serious blow due to a lack of discipline, both with Presnel Kimpembe and with neymar having to sit this one due to suspensions.

On the other hand, Leandro Paredes and Julian Draxler will continue their passage through the treatment room, although Mauro Icardi, Colin Dagba and Abdou Diallo are expected to overcome their respective blows to be able to play this weekend.

Ironically, it seems that the French champions can’t even buy a win at the moment, but with the quality that characterizes their team, victory will come sooner or later.

Three draws (in which psg he lost two points from winning positions each time) in succession is as good a summary as any for a season that promised so much but delivered so little considering its ambition.

However, against a team from Montpellier who are in such terrible form, hopefully this weekend will end their current winless streak: expectbeing the keyword.

Prediction: Montpellier 0-3 PSG
