Thousands of people took to the streets in the Southland on Saturday as part of a national effort to protect abortion rights after a draft Supreme Court opinion was leaked that overturned the landmark Roe vs. Wades from 1973.

In Los Angeles, activists rallied near City Hall in downtown Los Angeles, joining hundreds of women’s rights demonstrations across the state and American protesters also gathered in Long Beach, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, Palos Greens and Santa Ana, as well as in San Francisco, San Diego. , Washington, New York, Chicago and Austin, Texas.
