Updates on the fitness of key members of the Liverpool and Chelsea squads were provided on Saturday night, on the back of the FA Cup final.
First comes the latest on Mohamed Salah.
Egyptian international Salah, of course, set the pulse racing among the Liverpool crowd earlier tonight, after limping off from the club’s eventual triumph at Wembley with what appeared to be a muscle injury.
With just two weeks to go until the Champions League final, concerns, in turn, quickly spread regarding the potential availability of the former Roma standout.
Speaking on the back of the action drawing to a close in London, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Salah’s fitness was raised with boss Jurgen Klopp.
And the German went on to reveal his ‘hope’ that his side’s top scorer will finally prove ‘okay’, although Salah, on initial examination, looks ‘worse’ than Virgil van Dijk, who also left the exchanges prematurely.
Klopp on Mo Salah:
“I think Mo is a bit worse than Virg, that’s fine. She felt it a little. I hope she’s okay. We have the team.” #awlive [itv]

Elsewhere, on the Chelsea side, insight into Timo Werner’s well-being has also been provided.
Versatile attacker Werner was expected to play at least part of Saturday’s proceedings, so his failure to come off the bench for the full 120 minutes was puzzling.
However, speaking in his post-match press conference, Thomas Tuchel revealed that the 26-year-old was in fact unavailable for selection.
This came after Werner suffered a hamstring problem as the Chelsea stars tested themselves in their warm-up at Wembley.
Tuchel says that Timo Werner reported a hamstring problem in the warm-up and felt he couldn’t play.
