Eternal hits theaters on Friday and is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film will tell the story of the oldest group of heroes on Earth, ten eternally gifted They’ve been watching from the shadows Their mission was to ensure that the planet’s population could evolve and prosper, but they couldn’t intervene. That explains why they didn’t team up with the Avengers to help them defeat Thanos and his armies. Put another way, the Eternals are aliens who lived among humans for 7,000 years, and their history could redefine everything we know about the MCU. We know all of that from the trailers and ads they featured on the 10 Eternals. But the leaks also revealed the totality Eternal plot months ago, and the trailers practically confirmed those leaks were real.
Also, some people attended the first screenings this week. Unsurprisingly, they confirmed that the recent plot leaks were genuine. And in the process, an unexpected Eternal Easter egg from the post-credits scene that was not leaked earlier. We will warn you that Massive spoilers follow below, so you should avoid what follows until you see the movie.
the Eternal plot leak
First Eternal full plot leak eliminated several months ago. We told you at the time that it originated from a source who verified your identity to the Reddit mods who posted it. When the end Eternal the trailer arrived, we realized that the information was accurate.
Even before the criticism started to come in, we knew the whole story. We knew who the real villain is and we were aware of the plot twists and turns. We learned how it will end and what we will see in the post-credits scene. Once the first officer Eternal Reactions subsided, we got another confirmation that the plot filtering was accurate. A cameo in the post-credits scene turned out to be accurate. And that Easter egg confirmation indicated that the entire March plot leak was accurate.
But it turns out there is astonishing detail in that sequence of post-credits events that was not initially leaked. Before I tell you what it’s about, I’ll warn you again that big spoilers follow. Kingo’s (Kumail Nanjiani) Bollywood dance and jokes should keep you entertained as you decide whether to move on with spoilers below.
The plot synopsis
A person who saw an early detection of Eternal posted a detailed plot synopsis on Reddit. The person who saw the movie in Australia, with the mods of the popular Marvel Studio spoilers allowing them to share the information.
The Redditor confirms the March plot leak, providing more contextual information on what happens in the movie. The Eternals have to “come together” to fight the massive new threat. That’s the appearance Ajak (Salma Hayek) mentions in the trailer. The Deviants reappear and appear to be the bad guys in the movie.
But it turns out the deviants aren’t the main villain. They are the Celestials that the Eternals will fight in the movie. The group of heroes have just decided to help humans overcome the emerging threat that would otherwise consume the planet.
All life on Earth has been feeding a celestial egg within the planet. The Eternals have been protecting the egg for millennia for years, allowing human civilization to evolve to feed the egg. Now that billions of souls came to life after the Avengers defeated Thanos (Josh Brolin), the appearance is almost complete.
While most of the Eternals want to help the human race defeat this enormous threat, some of them still want to fulfill their mission. They are still loyal to the Celestials, which means the movie offers a Civil war kind of history. Ikaris (Richard Madden) is in fact an antagonist of the Eternals who will fight his family. Kill Ajak (Salma Hayek) and Gilgamesh (Don Lee) in the process. But the Eternals finally prevail, destroying the emerging Celestial.
The post-credits cameo Easter egg
The film ends with a celestial who appears in Earth’s orbit to capture the Eternal survivors who dared to defy his orders. But it’s the post-credits scene that interests us right now.
Redditor’s post-credit scene count matches the leak above, with a slight difference that we highlight below.
The first post-credit scene is Harry Styles as Star Fox teleporting to the Eternal’s ship with his friend Pip the Troll introducing him as Thanos’s brother. Star Fox is there to help you find more Eternals, she has her own celestial sphere that she has somehow obtained. The second post-credit scene is Dane in front of an antique box debating whether he should open it and then touch the sword inside the box until an indifferent voice starts talking to him. The voice sounded like Mahershala Ali like Blade.. It says ‘The Eternals will return …’ after the final post-credits scene.
We had no idea who would be the voice that would speak to Dane Whitman (Kit Harington). And now that we know it is Mahershala Ali, we have no idea what to make of it. Without a doubt, it is an amazing Easter egg to have in the Eternal. All we know is that Sword is in the works, as Marvel announced the reboot from Comic-Con 2019.
