When is the Breeders’ Cup Classic?

  • Post time: 8:40 pm ET

The Saturday of the championship begins on Saturday, November 5. There will be a total of 12 races on Saturday with the first race of the day starting at 1:15 pm ET. All races lead to the final race at 8:40 pm ET, known as the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Saturday’s coverage begins at 2:30 pm ET until 8:00 pm on NBC Sports Network and TVG Network, which is available through DirectTV. Then, starting at 8 p.m. ET, NBC will take over the coverage of the last race of the day. NBC’s streaming service Peacock will also show the final race.

Breeders’ Cup purse

This year’s Breeders Cup has a $ 31 million purse for races held on Friday and Saturday. The winner of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday night will take home the biggest prize of $ 6 million.
